We’re looking for a reliable, confident and enthusiastic dog walker to join our small, friendly team.
This could be a great fit for an experienced dog walker who can hit the ground running, or someone who is genuinely keen to build a long-term career working with dogs and learn the ropes with an established and supportive team.
The Role
- Group walks of up to 4 dogs, including collecting and safely transporting dogs in one of our small vans or your own vehicle
- Solo/1-to-1 walks of 30–60 minutes
- Weekday work approximately between the hours of 9am & 2pm. Hours can fluctuate depending on customer demand, so some flexibility is appreciated
- Equally— if unable to work the hours or days stated above, we still welcome your application, please tell us your availability
- Additional weekend walks/cat visits, plus overnight pet sitting may be available but are optional
What we’re looking for…
You’ll need to be reliable, responsible, physically fit and happy working outdoors in all weather. You should be confident around dogs of different breeds, sizes and personalities, with a basic understanding of dog behaviour — or a real willingness to learn.
You’ll also need:
- A full UK driving licence
- To be confident driving a small van or your own vehicle
- A Basic DBS check, or be willing to obtain one
- The ability to make an ongoing commitment to the role
Previous professional dog walking experience is a big advantage, but it isn’t essential for the right person. Attitude, common sense, reliability and a genuine desire to work with dogs matter just as much to us.
Pay, Training & Equipment
The role is self-employed offeringNational Living Wage, paid monthly. A higher rate is available if you have your own suitable vehicle for transporting dogs.
We provide Public Liability insurance, dog walking equipment and a full training and shadowing period before you work independently.
Clifton Dog Walking has been caring for dogs across Clifton and the surrounding Bristol area for nearly 15 years, and we take the responsibility that comes with looking after our clients’ dogs very seriously.
