The Fish Den Aquatics Ramsgate is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Full Time Aquatics Sales Assistant to join our friendly team.
This is a varied role within a busy independent aquatic store, where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with fishkeeping advice, caring for livestock, maintaining high standards throughout the store, and helping with the day-to-day running of the business.
Key duties include:
- Serving and assisting customers.
- Providing advice on tropical and coldwater fish and aquarium products.
- Feeding and caring for livestock.
- Maintaining clean, healthy aquariums and shop displays.
- Receiving and unpacking deliveries.
- Stocking shelves and keeping the store clean and tidy.
- Operating the till and handling customer transactions.
- Supporting the team with general shop duties.
Requirements:
- Basic aquatic knowledge is essential.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Friendly, reliable and hardworking.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Weekend working is essential.
- A genuine passion for fishkeeping and animal welfare.
Full training will be provided on our systems and procedures, but applicants must already have a basic understanding of fishkeeping and aquarium care. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing independent aquatic retailer with opportunities to develop your knowledge and experience.
Pay: £25,420.00-£46,375.15 per year
