Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a caring nature, and the ability to follow care plans effectively. Driving may be required for home visits.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support individuals in maintaining their personal hygiene and dignity.
- Follow care plans meticulously to ensure that each individual's needs are met.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on care and progress.
- Document daily activities and any changes in the residents' conditions accurately using IT systems.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in care practices.
- Drive to clients' homes as needed to deliver personalised care services.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with residents and team members.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for those providing home care services.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- A compassionate attitude towards caring for others and a commitment to enhancing their quality of life.
