Bird & Carter Farm Shop, located just outside Wilton, Salisbury, is a well-established and busy retail and hospitality business. We operate a vibrant farm shop and a cozy café seating 40. Owned by Joff and Annie Bird, our team of staff members are dedicated to providing quality products and excellent service while maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Summary
We are looking for a friendly and motivated Deli Assistant and Barista to join our dynamic team at Bird & Carter Farm Shop . This role is vital in delivering exceptional customer experiences in our shop and café, supporting our mission to serve fresh, quality food and beverages.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality food and beverages, including coffee as a barista.
- Ensure food safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Assist customers with their orders in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Support food preparation activities in the shop.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café and shop areas.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience as a barista or in food service.
- Knowledge of food safety standards.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong time management abilities.
- Friendly, approachable attitude with a team-oriented mindset.
- Previous experience in a farm shop or similar environment is a plus.
