Job Overview
Willowholme Auto Salvage is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Van Driver to join our team in Carlisle. In this role, you will be operating a new Iveco Daily car transporter with a trailer to collect and transport vehicles. You will be picking up cars from major auto auction companies (such as Copart and Synetiq) as well as performing private collections from customers' houses, and returning them safely to our yard in Carlisle.

Responsibilities and Duties
Vehicle Collection & Transport: Safely drive and operate an Iveco Daily car transporter with a trailer to collect vehicles from auctions and private addresses.
Logistics Management: Transport collected vehicles back to the Willowholme Auto Salvage yard in Carlisle in a timely and secure manner.
Compliance: Adhere to all driving laws, including the proper use of a Tachograph Card and maintaining relevant driver records.
Customer Service: Represent the company professionally when performing collections from private residences.
Trailer Operations: Safely hitch, unhitch, and maneuver trailers (training will be provided for those with trailer experience preference).
Requirements and Qualifications
Licence: Valid UK driving licence with B+E entitlement to tow trailers.
Tachograph Card required.
Experience: Trailer experience is essential—full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Availability: Willingness to work approximately 60 hours per week, with Saturday morning work available.
Compensation and Benefits
PAYE Rate: £13.21 per hour
Overtime Rate: £15.00 per hour
Self-employed / LTD Rate: £14.00 per hour
Additional Info: New, well-maintained equipment provided.
