Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and innovative Fashion Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of style and an eye for detail, with the ability to conceptualise and create unique clothing designs that resonate with our brand identity. As a Fashion Designer, you will be responsible for developing new collections, collaborating with other team members, and staying abreast of industry trends to ensure our designs remain fresh and appealing.
Duties
- Design and create original clothing, accessories, and footwear that align with the brand's aesthetic.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and consumer preferences.
- Develop sketches and technical drawings using Adobe Illustrator and other design software.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing.
- Prepare mood boards and presentations to communicate design concepts effectively.
- Oversee the fitting process, making necessary adjustments to ensure perfect fit and quality.
- Maintain an organised portfolio of designs, samples, and materials for reference.
- Work closely with marketing teams to promote new collections through various channels.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fashion Designer or in a similar role within the fashion industry.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong skills in graphic design, photography, CSS, web design, Sketchup, HTML are advantageous.
- Excellent sketching abilities and a keen eye for detail in fabric selection and colour matching.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members across various departments.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining creativity.
- A degree in Fashion Design or a related field is preferred but not essential if experience is demonstrated.
- Must have 3+ years experience with menswear design in a commercial environment.
- The role is not open to anyone who requires or may require in the future any sponsorship.
- You must have been a Uk resident for 5+ years.
