The RoleYou will provide legal and administrative support to Directors and Associates within the Criminal Department. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently when required and must be confident managing their workload in a fast-paced environment.Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting court documents and correspondence.
- Undertaking legal research.
- Attending court hearings and taking notes.
- Meeting and assisting clients, taking instructions, and providing updates.
- Answering telephone calls and handling enquiries professionally.
- Managing client care and file administration.
- Assisting with costs management.
- Maintaining and updating the CCMS Legal Aid Portal.
- Providing general administrative support to fee earners.
Essential RequirementsApplicants must have:
- A qualifying LLB Law Degree (essential).
- A minimum of 12 months' paralegal experience within Civil Law (essential).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- The ability to work confidently in an office-based environment, including occasional lone working.
- The right to work in the UK.

- 8:30am to 5:00pm
- 30-minute lunch break

Location Slough, BerkshireApplicants must be based locally to Slough and able to reliably commute to the office Monday to Friday.
Salary£16,000 - £19,500 per annum, depending on experience.
