Reporting to Assistant Hotel Manager
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Duty Manager to join our team at Holiday Inn Express Swindon City Centre.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys leading a team, delivering excellent guest service and ensuring the hotel runs smoothly throughout their shift.
As the hotel operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, applicants must be fully flexible to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays, weekends, bank holidays, Christmas and Easter.
Key responsibilities
- Leading and supporting the hotel team during your shift
- Ensuring guests receive a warm welcome and excellent service
- Managing guest enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally
- Overseeing reception, food and beverage and general hotel operations
- Supporting team training, development and performance
- Completing daily checks, reports and financial procedures
- Ensuring brand standards and company procedures are followed
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, safety and security
- Supporting the management team in achieving guest satisfaction and commercial targets
- Responding confidently to operational or emergency situations
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous supervisory or management experience, ideally within hospitality
- Is confident leading and motivating a team
- Has excellent customer service and communication skills
- Is organised, reliable and able to make decisions
- Can remain calm and professional in a busy environment
- Is comfortable working across different areas of the hotel
- Is fully flexible to work early and late shifts, weekends, bank holidays, Christmas and Easter
