Job Details
We are looking for a motivated Business Support Assistant to join our team and provide a full range of administrative and customer support service. You will play an important role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the service by supporting colleagues, managers and customers.
This Business Support Assistant post sits within the Business Support Service and provides support to Justice Social Work Service.
Your duties will include maintaining computer systems and records, data input, word processing, preparing and distributing documents, minute taking, scheduling meetings and appointments, handling telephone and email enquiries, processing mail, scanning and filing documents, and providing front-line customer support, which includes reception duties. You will also assist with records management, information systems, financial processing and general office administration.
The role requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. You will be part of a supportive team committed to delivering high-quality services to customers and stakeholders.
The Person
We are looking for someone who has experience of working in an office environment and using current computer applications to carry out a range of administrative duties. You should possess:
- National 4, SVQ1, 3 Standard Grades/O Grades or equivalent qualification.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office and other computer-based systems to maintain records and produce documents.
- Experience of creating, formatting and updating documents.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
- Experience of maintaining confidentiality.
- Customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- The ability to work as part of a team and build positive working relationships.
- A commitment to providing a regular, reliable and customer-focused service.
