Job Description
Looking for a job where kindness, laughter, and cuppas come as standard?
Good. Because we’re not your average care home. And you’re not looking for an average job.
Whether you’re after a fresh start, a new career, or you’re thinking: “I want to do something that actually matters…” — you might have just found your people.
Why Join Us?
“We’re not your average care home. And you’re not looking for an average job.”
- We laugh every single day — and it’s highly contagious.
- No experience? Don’t panic. We’ll train you (and yes, we make it fun).
- Room to grow? Always. Start small, dream big.
- Cake happens… a lot. You’ve been warned.
- Christmas is a whole thing here — we make it special, we celebrate wins, and we always mark the year properly.
- Our team Christmas party? We jumped on the train to Exeter, tackled Escape Rooms, then headed out for food, drinks and plenty of laughs. (Yes, we’re competitive. No, we won’t talk about the sore heads the next day.)
- Free parking, flexible shifts, and tea that beats Costa hands down.
New year, new job, new you?
If you’re reading this thinking “I want to go into 2026 doing something I’m proud of”… this could be it.
A Day in the Life (give or take…)
“No two shifts are the same — and that’s the joy of it.”
You might find yourself:
- Starting the day with toast, smiles, and plans for adventure
- Playing cards, painting, or heading into town for a trip out
- Helping with lunch, joining in on a karaoke session, or getting competitive over Uno
- Supporting someone with appointments, routines, or daily goals (the small wins are the big wins)
- Ending the day with someone’s favourite TV show and a cosy chat
- Making a real difference — without needing a cape
This isn’t just “a shift”.
It’s being part of someone’s best moments, their progress, their independence — and their everyday life.
Who We’re Looking For
“No superheroes needed — just good humans with big hearts.”
You’re probably a great fit if:
- You’re kind, calm, and up for a giggle
- You’re reliable, caring, and not afraid to muck in
- You know care can be serious — but joy matters just as much
- You’ve got availability for bank shifts (especially evenings/weekends)
Bonus points if you:
- Brew a cracking cuppa
- Can tell a decent joke
- Or can wrestle a hoover without making it personal
And just so we’re clear…
If your vibe is “that’s not my job” — you won’t enjoy it here.
If your vibe is “how can I help?” — welcome home.
