Job Overview
Leodis Stairlifts is looking for an ambitious, confident and sales-focused Customer Support Assistant / Telephone Sales to join our growing sales team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on the telephone, enjoys speaking to customers and has a genuine passion for sales, achieving targets and converting enquiries into appointments and ultimately sales.
You will be one of the first points of contact for many of our customers, so you will play a vital role in understanding their needs, building trust and guiding them through the sales process. You will be responsible for handling incoming enquiries, proactively following up leads, qualifying customer requirements and securing appointments for our Stairlift Surveyors.
We are looking for someone who is commercially driven and motivated by results, whilst still delivering the high level of care and empathy expected when supporting customers with mobility needs.
About the Role
As a Customer Support Assistant / Telephone Sales, your primary responsibility will be to maximise every sales opportunity that comes into the business.
You will handle a high volume of inbound telephone enquiries, establish customer requirements, explain our products and services, overcome objections and convert enquiries into appointments for our Surveyors.
You will also be expected to proactively follow up quotations, enquiries and previous leads, helping to maximise conversion rates and ensure that potential customers do not get lost during the sales process.
The successful candidate will be confident asking customers for their business, handling sales objections and working towards challenging individual and team targets.
Alongside your sales responsibilities, you will provide administrative and customer support throughout the sales and installation journey.
Key Responsibilities

- Proactively follow up warm leads, quotations and previous enquiries to maximise sales opportunities.

- Handle sales objections professionally and confidently, using effective questioning and closing techniques.

- Maintain regular contact with customers where required to keep opportunities moving forward.
- Prepare and issue quotations for domestic and commercial customers.
- Accurately record all customer interactions, leads, appointments and sales activity within our Job Watch system.
- Work closely with Surveyors, Installations and other departments to ensure a smooth customer journey.

- Maintain accurate customer records, survey information and installation schedules.
- Develop an excellent knowledge of our products, services and competitors so you can confidently sell their benefits.
- Identify additional sales opportunities and maximise every customer interaction.
- Respond to non-sales enquiries professionally when required.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, local authorities, housing providers and other key partners.
- Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota, approximately 1 in 3 / 4 weeks. Additional payment is provided for this responsibility.
- Contribute positively to a target-driven, high-performing sales environment.
