Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, serving, and maintaining food safety standards while working in a welcoming setting. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to during food preparation and service
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service
- Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, including equipment, counters, and dining areas
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till system with accuracy
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Assist in food preparation tasks when required, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality
Experience
- Previous Barista experience is preferred; however training will be provided for those new to the role
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is preferred
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods
