We are looking for a Director of Business Services who will take responsibility for the performance and continued development of our business support functions. This is a senior leadership position focused on operational excellence, commercial performance, client satisfaction and sustainable company growth.
You will work closely with senior management, department leaders, clients and external partners to ensure that our services are efficient, commercially responsible and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Business Services Leadership:
Provide strategic and operational leadership across corporate services, administration, client support, procurement and internal business functions.
Operational Performance:
Develop and implement processes that improve productivity, service quality, cost control and organisational efficiency.
Commercial Management:
Support budgeting, financial planning, contract management and commercial decision-making across the business.
Client Service Delivery:
Ensure that services are delivered consistently, professionally and in accordance with client expectations and contractual requirements.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor and develop managers and team leaders. Establish clear objectives, conduct performance reviews and support succession planning.
Strategic Planning:
Work with senior management to create business plans, identify growth opportunities and translate company objectives into practical operational programmes.
Governance and Compliance:
Maintain appropriate policies, controls and reporting procedures while ensuring compliance with relevant employment, commercial and data protection requirements.
Stakeholder Management:
Build strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, professional advisers and internal stakeholders. Present performance reports and recommendations to senior leadership.
Continuous Improvement:
Review existing systems and working practices, identify operational weaknesses and introduce measurable improvements.
Risk Management:
Identify operational, financial and commercial risks and ensure suitable mitigation plans are established and maintained.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
At least 8 years of experience in business services, corporate operations, professional services or a related environment, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership position.
Leadership Skills:
Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams, supporting department leaders and delivering improvements across several business functions.
Commercial Awareness:
Strong understanding of budgeting, performance management, service contracts, procurement and business planning.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present recommendations and performance information to senior stakeholders.
Problem-Solving:
A practical and analytical approach to resolving operational challenges, improving processes and managing competing priorities.
Qualifications:
A degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Operations or a related discipline is preferred. Relevant professional qualifications or substantial equivalent experience will also be considered.
Technology:
Confident using business management systems, Microsoft Office applications, reporting platforms and digital collaboration tools.
Mindset:
You are commercially focused, organised and accountable. You can balance long-term strategic planning with the practical demands of daily business operations.
Pay: £7,171.00-£8,000.00 per month
