Bughties Nursing Home is set in the residential heart of Broughty Ferry. It is an old tudor style building retaining much of its period character. We enjoy extensive views over the River Tay.
We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to join our team, providing essential cleaning and organisational support within our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organisational skills, with a focus on delivering high standards of cleanliness and customer service. Duties
- Perform cleaning tasks across various areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
- Organise and manage cleaning schedules, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock levels are low.
- Assist with general organisational duties such as laundry, waste disposal, and replenishing supplies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding daily operations and any issues encountered.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding politely to enquiries and ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities when supervising junior staff or assisting in training new team members.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hospitality, management, or similar roles is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and general computer literacy is required.
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Leadership qualities suitable for supervising or guiding team members.
- Good understanding of IT systems relevant to scheduling and record keeping.
- Previous experience in hospitality or similar environments is desirable but not mandatory.
