Field Service Engineer
About Carelift Services Ltd
Carelift Services Ltd is a family-run business specialising in lift servicing, reactive maintenance, and installation works. We take great pride in delivering a reliable, personal, and high-quality service to our clients—and in looking after our people just as well. (Don't just take our word for it... check out our reviews!)
As our business continues to grow, we are looking to welcome a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our close-knit team. We value long-term careers, teamwork, and a supportive working environment where everyone feels appreciated.
Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Field Service Engineer to carry out servicing, maintenance, reactive call-outs and installation works across East Anglia.
This is a varied, customer-facing role, so professionalism, pride in your work and a friendly approach are essential. You will be fully supported by our office-based operations team, who ensure your work is well planned and that you have everything you need to succeed.
Whilst experience within the mobility, lift or access equipment industry would be advantageous, it is not essential. We welcome applications from engineers with transferable skills from other sectors, including electrical, mechanical, plant, agricultural, commercial vehicle, automation, or other field service backgrounds. Full product training will be provided for the right candidate.
Salary will be dependent on experience, the skills you bring to the role and the level of training required.
This role is Monday to Friday, with participation in an on-call rota of approximately one week in every five. A standby allowance of £150 per week is paid, with additional on-call hours paid separately. Typical total working hours are approximately 45-50 hours per week.
Please note: The salary advertised is dependent on your relevant skills and industry experience. Future earning potential will be based on your performance, ongoing development, and the contribution you make to the continued success of the business. We would be happy to discuss this further at interview stage.
