*Expanding nursery*
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our expanding nursery and team, the position is suitable for someone who has experience working within the baby room. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in nurturing and developing young children in a safe and stimulating environment. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will contribute to the early childhood education of children, ensuring their wellbeing and promoting their development through engaging activities.
Duties
- Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment that encourages children's exploration and learning.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their individual learning journeys.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions, ensuring a structured yet flexible approach.
- Support children’s personal hygiene routines and encourage independence in self-care skills.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare Level 3 or above
- Experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and inspire both children and colleagues.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- A genuine passion for childcare with the drive to provide the best possible outcomes for children.
Working Hours
Full time- 4 days a week 8am-6pm with one full day off
Part time 3 days a week 8am-6pm
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £13.21 per hour
