Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Floor Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our retail environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining the overall organisation of the sales floor. This role offers an opportunity to utilise strong leadership and organisational skills in a fast-paced setting, contributing to the smooth running of our store. The position is paid and ideal for individuals with previous management or supervisory experience, particularly within retail or sales management sectors. Fluency in multiple languages is highly desirable to support diverse customer interactions.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and motivate team members to achieve sales targets and deliver high-quality customer service.
- Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance to ensure operational efficiency.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards in line with brand guidelines to optimise product presentation.
- Handle customer enquiries courteously via phone and in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management, and coordinate replenishment activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across the sales floor.
- Support training programmes for new staff and ongoing development initiatives for existing team members.
- Manage administrative tasks such as reporting sales figures, maintaining attendance records, and organising team meetings.
- Foster a positive team environment through effective leadership, organisational skills, and clear communication.
Qualifications
- Proven management or supervisory experience within retail or related sectors.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail in merchandising and store presentation.
- Effective communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability in time management, prioritising tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Previous experience in sales management or retail management is preferred.
- Administrative experience including report writing, record keeping, and basic computer literacy.
- Exceptional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to engage customers professionally.
