Overview
UK Defence Services Ltd is seeking professional, reliable and customer-focused Door Supervisors to join our growing team. This role involves providing a safe and welcoming environment at licensed premises, including pubs, bars and clubs, while ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and maintaining excellent customer service.
You will be responsible for managing entry to the venue, preventing disorder, resolving incidents professionally and ensuring the safety of customers, staff and the premises.
Key Responsibilities
- Control access to licensed premises by checking identification and monitoring entry and exit points.
- Ensure only authorised and suitable individuals are admitted to the venue.
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter anti-social behaviour, violence and criminal activity.
- Monitor customer behaviour and intervene professionally to prevent conflict or disorder.
- Conduct regular patrols throughout the venue, including indoor and outdoor areas.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies and disturbances.
- Complete accurate incident reports and maintain shift records.
- Work closely with venue management, colleagues and emergency services when required.
- Follow all company procedures, venue policies and health & safety requirements.
- Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
Essential Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Excellent communication and conflict management skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.
- Smart, professional appearance and a high standard of personal conduct.
- Reliable, punctual and flexible to work evenings, weekends and late-night shifts.
- Previous experience working in pubs, bars, clubs or licensed venues is desirable but not essential.
