Operating across the North West, we provide mobility equipment, stairlifts, rise and recline chairs, powered wheelchairs, daily living aids and repair services to thousands of customers each year.
We are currently looking for a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver / Mobility Equipment Assistant to join our team on a 3-month fixed-term contract.
The Role
This role is primarily responsible for collecting customers' mobility equipment requiring repair and returning repaired equipment to customers' homes. The successful candidate will also support other areas of the business with delivery and collection requirements as needed.
As the role involves regular interaction with elderly, disabled and vulnerable customers, applicants must be professional, courteous and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect mobility equipment from customers' homes for repair.
- Deliver repaired mobility equipment back to customers.
- Support the delivery and collection requirements of other departments within the business.
- Load and unload mobility equipment safely and securely.
- Complete delivery and collection paperwork accurately.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery and collection times.
- Represent Mobility GB Ltd and Ableworld professionally at all times.
- Assist with warehouse and operational duties when required.
- Ensure all equipment is transported safely and in accordance with company procedures.
About You
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good geographical knowledge of the North West region.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, organised and self-motivated.
- Able to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Comfortable handling and moving mobility equipment safely.
- A positive and professional attitude.
- Previous delivery driving experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
