We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Honiton 55+ Centre in Honiton. Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal care and support to residents, respecting their individual needs and preferences.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans to ensure personalized care.
- Supervise and support junior staff members, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident care activities and progress.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Support residents with daily activities such as mobility, medication management, and emotional support.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Contribute to creating a warm and welcoming environment that promotes independence and dignity.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in senior or residential care settings.
- Strong communication skills essential for effective interaction with residents and team members.
- Supervising or leadership experience is desirable.
- Ability to develop and follow detailed care plans.
- Valid driving license is essential for supporting residents' transportation needs.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the lives of older adults.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to elderly care.
- IT skills are advantageous for maintaining accurate records.
