Job Vacancy: Support Worker (2 Positions Available)
· Locations: Southampton and Bournemouth (Floating across 3 residential units total – one based in Southampton and two in Bournemouth)
· Contract: Permanent, Full‑Time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
· Salary: £13.25 per hour (Equivalent to £25,837.50 per annum)
· Driving Requirement: Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence
· Work Eligibility: Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role.

About the Role
StreetScene Addiction Recovery provides a safe, caring and structured environment for adults experiencing past or present problems with drugs and/or alcohol. We support individuals to rebuild their lives, develop independence and achieve long-term recovery.
We are recruiting two ‘floating’ full-time Support Workers to join our team. These roles offer cross-site coverage across our three residential units: one based in Southampton and two based in Bournemouth. Both postholders will work flexibly across these units, supporting clients with day-to-day living, recovery planning and access to healthcare.
These posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, receipt of satisfactory professional references, and include a 3-month probationary period.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide flexible, floating coverage across our three residential units (one in Southampton, two in Bournemouth)
- Administer medication safely and accurately
- Provide emotional and practical support to individuals
- Maintain a homely, clean and safe environment
- Participate in the on‑call rota
- Ensure access to primary healthcare and update care plans
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals

Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Valid Right to Work in the UK (Sponsorship is available)
- Full UK Driving Licence and the flexibility to travel to our different units
- The Care Certificate, NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care, or be working towards this
- At least one year’s experience in a care or support environment
- Good people skills and computer literacy
- Experience supporting individuals with drug, alcohol or mental health‑related needs
