NOTTING HILL W11: Daily Manny + travel for B nearly 7 years | Weekends initially, transitioning to full-time | Autumn start | £££££
We are seeking an experienced, sporty and engaging Daily Manny for a lovely professional family based in Notting Hill, caring for their only son, who is nearly 7 years. The role will start initially with weekends, transitioning to full-time from mid-autumn.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an educated, energetic and highly organised Manny who genuinely enjoys working with school-aged children and can provide the perfect balance of fun, sport, structure and positive role-modelling.
The young boy is bright, lively and extremely active. He particularly loves football, running around in the park, games and outdoor activities, and the family would love to find a Manny who shares his enthusiasm for sport and can introduce him to new activities, organise playdates and make his downtime genuinely fun.
The role: The position will initially involve some weekend hours, either Saturday or Sunday, while the young boy prepares for his 7+ examinations in November. He currently has a tutor working with him regularly, so the Manny will not be expected to take over this role. Rather, the emphasis will be on ensuring that his time away from studying is active, enjoyable and well-balanced.
From September he will be back at school full-time, and with his academic schedule particularly busy in the run-up to the 7+, weekends will be an important opportunity for him to switch off, play sport, see friends and have some fun. Following the exams, the role will transition into a full-time Daily Manny position, with responsibility for supporting his day-to-day routine alongside his parents.
Duties will include:
-
School runs and managing the after-school routine.
-
Organising and accompanying him to sports and activities.
-
Lots of football, park time, outdoor games and physical activity.
-
Arranging playdates and social activities.
-
Supporting homework and school organisation as required.
-
Keeping on top of his school calendar, kit, uniform and activity schedules.
-
Planning interesting and age-appropriate outings during weekends and holidays.
-
Encouraging independence, confidence and good manners.
-
Working collaboratively with the parents and, during the 7+ period, alongside his tutor.
-
Travelling with the family during school holidays and half terms.
Travel: The family travel during the school holidays and half terms, predominantly within Europe, so the successful candidate must be happy and confident travelling as part of the role.
The ideal candidate: We are looking for a professional, educated and experienced Manny with a natural affinity for this age group. He should be sporty, fit and energetic enough to happily kick a football around the park, while also being organised, responsible and able to provide appropriate boundaries and structure. A strong educational background would be highly desirable, together with previous experience working professionally with school-aged children. The right candidate will be positive, engaging, proactive and great fun, but equally polished and professional in his approach. This would particularly suit a Manny who enjoys becoming a genuine mentor and positive role model to a young boy and who is looking for a long-term position with an excellent family.
