We support clients, contractors and construction businesses with commercial advice, project delivery and the preparation of high-quality tender submissions.
We are looking for an organised, dependable and proactive Administrator & Bid Support professional to help manage our day-to-day administration and support the wider team.
The Role
This is primarily an administration and business-support role with additional involvement in bid writing, tender support, business development and social media.
You will work closely with the Company Director and wider team, helping to manage company records, new project information, incoming invoices, emails and general client administration.
You will also assist with the preparation of bids and tenders, support business-development activities and help maintain the company’s professional online presence.
The role may suit an experienced construction administrator looking to broaden their responsibilities or someone with bid-writing experience who would enjoy a varied position within a construction consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
- Logging new enquiries, instructions, projects and client information.
- Setting up and maintaining organised project and client records.
- Logging incoming supplier and subcontractor invoices accurately.
- Monitoring shared email accounts and responding to or directing enquiries appropriately.
- Preparing correspondence, standard documents, reports and meeting information.
- Maintaining company trackers, templates, policies and administrative systems.
- Following up outstanding information and actions with clients and team members.
- Supporting the Director with prospective clients, proposals and business-development activities.
- Helping to prepare and schedule professional social media and company updates.
- Assisting with construction bids, tenders, PQQs and framework submissions.
- Gathering policies, case studies, CVs, accreditations and other tender evidence.
- Assisting with drafting, reviewing and formatting tender responses.
- Monitoring tender deadlines and keeping submission information organised.
- Maintaining a library of reusable bid and company information.
Administration will remain the main focus of the role, with bid and tender support forming an important part of the position.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous administration, coordination or business-support experience.
- Has worked within construction, property, engineering or a related industry.
- Is highly organised and able to manage several priorities.
- Communicates professionally and confidently with clients and colleagues.
- Has strong written English and excellent attention to detail.
- Is confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and general office systems.
- Takes ownership of tasks and follows them through to completion.
- Is comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Is interested in bid writing, tendering and business development.
- Holds a full UK driving licence and can travel to the Aberdare office and occasional meetings when required.
Experience of construction tenders, bid writing, invoice administration, CRM systems, business development or social media would be beneficial.
Formal qualifications are welcomed, but practical experience, reliability and a proactive approach are equally important.
