We are looking for an experienced and proactive Property Manager for our busy Penryn office. This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding and reputable local business at a period of growth.
The Role
Your main role will be to help with the management of a portfolio of residential properties.
Key responsibilities:
- Report necessary repairs and maintenance to landlords, obtain authorisation for required work, and provide detailed quotes when necessary.
- Organise and coordinate repairs and maintenance with contractors, ensuring that work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Keep both tenants and landlords fully updated on the status of maintenance and repair jobs, providing regular progress reports.
- Conduct regular property inspections to assess the condition of the properties, document findings, and ensure any issues are addressed.
- Organise and ensure the completion of gas and electrical safety checks, and maintain up-to-date records for all properties.
- Ensure that all properties comply with current health and safety legislation, including regular monitoring and updating of compliance measures.
- Oversee and check the quality of contractors' work, ensuring that all repairs and maintenance meet the required standards before final approval.
- Manage and maintain the property management diary, including booking maintenance works, inventories, property visits, and tenant checkouts.
- Oversee tenant move-ins and move-outs.
- Complete check-out process
About You
· At least 1-2 years experience within the lettings industry.
· Excellent customer service skills and experience.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent attention to detail.
· Ability to effectively manage time, tasks, and resources.
· You will require a full UK Driving licence.
