Senior Accountant
Location: Braintree, Essex (Hybrid)
Hours: 35 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a fast-paced, expanding practice as a Senior Accountant. The role is full time (35 hours per week) and has a hybrid working model.

ST Accountancy specialise in accounting services and tax advice for SMEs. Based in Braintree, Essex, we’re a team of 19 and have grown rapidly over the past few years. About the role...
You will be a key member of the team supporting in a wide range of tasks which will assist the practice to achieve its goals.
Your key responsibilities will be:
· Preparing personal tax returns to meet client requirements
· Preparation of company accounts and tax returns
· Being a key contact for a portfolio of clients
· Review of junior team members work to ensure these are accurate
· Management of junior members of staff
· Providing support with accounting software
· Advising clients on suitable tax efficient strategies
About You
We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable and enjoys being part of a team.
You’ll ideally have:
- Good organisational skills and the ability to juggle a variety of tasks
- Strong attention to detail
- A positive, proactive attitude
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong communication skills
- A full chartered accountancy qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) or very close to completing
- A proactive, can-do attitude
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- 5+ years accountancy practice experience
