About us
Waymouth & Ward Homecare are an agency who introduce self-employed carers to their private pay clients on a live-in and visiting care basis.
We are currently looking for a part time visiting carer for a male client : Saturday 8.30- 14.00, Sunday 9-11 and Friday, Saturday and Sunday 19.00-21.00
To help him shower and dress, prepare his breakfast – he enjoys porridge and lots of tea – and tidy his bedroom and bathroom, both located on the ground floor. Additional support such as washing and ironing his shirts, changing his bed sheets, and preparing a light lunch that he can access later in the day would be helpful.
At 93, he is physically frail and walks with the support of a frame. He has prostate cancer, renal failure, and heart failure, but is cognitively well and enjoys conversation. He has a catheter and will have appointments to have this changed at the hospital. He also has appointments to have a blood transfusion for his anaemia due to his prostate cancer.
He is currently living with his daughter, son-in-law, and their three children in Westcott.
The family has two dogs, one of whom is unwell, so a dog lover is essential, although no care duties for the dogs are required.
There might be occasional ad hoc visits
