Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our friendly team for 3-4 days per week with full flexibility and weekend work is essential.
You’ll be responsible for morning deliveries to wholesale customers and private clients, ensuring every cake, pastry, and box of treats arrives in perfect condition.
You’ll be driving our fully equipped van, which includes a navigation system and safety sensors to make your job as smooth as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely deliver handmade cakes and pastries to wholesale partners and private customers.
- Load and unload baked goods with care to maintain product quality.
- Deliver celebration cakes with extra attention to presentation and handling.
- Transport stock between kitchen and bakery as required.
- Purchase fresh and dry ingredients as needed.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report any discrepancies to management.
- Promote and sell products on the go when opportunities arise.
- Represent Krema Bakehouse with professionalism, warmth, and excellent customer service.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while on the road.
As this is a new role, you’ll play a big part in shaping our delivery operations as we grow.
Requirements
- Must be over 25.
- Valid UK driver’s licence, held for at least 5 years.
- Clean driving record.
- Previous delivery experience preferred.
- Physically able to lift and handle baked goods and ingredients.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a team-first attitude.
- Familiarity with Edinburgh and surrounding areas is a bonus.
Schedule & Availability
- Part-time: 20–25 hours per week to start, with potential to grow into full-time.
- Typical shift start: 7:00 AM (may vary slightly depending on the day’s deliveries).
- Flexibility is essential as operations expand.
- Weekend availability is required
Pay
- £13.00–£14.00 per hour, depending on experience.
