You will be working closely with the kitchen team in a one rosette awarded boutique hotel. You'll work with our Head chef to develop and hone your skills, learning the intricacies of preparing and cooking in all areas of a fast paced and well-established kitchen.
The restaurant offers fresh, seasonal, and whenever possible, locally sourced produce and you as the Commis chef will be constantly looking to help the head chef and his team to improve and create new dishes in keeping with modern food trends.
The ideal Commis Chef will come from a restaurant and gastro pub background with experience in fine dining, busy restaurants and be used to shift work. Evenings, weekends and split shifts will be required.
Commis Experience and Duties:
Minimum 1 year kitchen experience
Good understanding of food safety and high cleanliness standards
Passionate about food
Excellent communication skills
Positive approach and attitude
Willing to learn and develop skills
Meals provided on duty
Uniform provided
All tips/gratuities paid on top of monthly salary.
