You will be responsible for carrying out the inspection, maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair and certification of aircraft electrical, avionic and electronic systems in compliance with UK CAA Part-145 regulations, approved maintenance data and company procedures. The role ensures aircraft are maintained in an airworthy, safe and compliant condition while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety and operational performance. The successful candidate will exercise certification privileges within the scope of a UK CAA Part-66 Category B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence and applicable aircraft type ratings.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
1. Aircraft Maintenance
- Carry out avionics and electrical maintenance and certification within the scope of company approvals and personal authorisation.
- Perform fault diagnosis, testing, defect rectification, and maintenance of aircraft electrical, avionics, communication, navigation, and instrument systems.
- Complete all maintenance documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
2. Planning and Organisation
- Ensure the availability of tooling, test equipment, and spares required to complete assigned tasks.
- Assist in the preparation and completion of work packs and associated maintenance documentation.
3. Customer and Operational Liaison
- Liaise with customer representatives, MCC, and operational departments as required.
- Support AOG recovery and operational maintenance planning activities.
- Participate in customer meetings and conference calls when required.
4. Communication and Reporting
- Respond promptly to operational communications.
- Keep management informed of aircraft delays, technical issues, incidents, or aircraft damage.
- Report hazards, safety concerns, and occurrences in accordance with company procedures.
5. Continuous Improvement
- Support the Company's Safety Management System and Quality System.
- Maintain aircraft type, regulatory, and company procedure knowledge.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably requested by management consistent with the role.
General Requirements
- Hold a valid UK Part-66 B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence and company authorisation.
- Aircraft Type approval - A320 Series with PW1100G-JM, B737 NG/CL (Desirable - EMB 170/190 )
- Work flexibly and develop positive working relationships with a broad range of people.
- Comply with all relevant BCT Aviation Maintenance Ltd and aviation health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable aviation regulations and legislation.
- Communicate technical, operational, and safety-related issues to management.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
