We are looking for a Backend Developer who can take ownership of our server-side architecture. You aren't just writing code; you are building scalable foundations. Key Responsibilities: System Architecture Ownership: Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure backend services and databases. End-to-End Development: Lead backend features from initial technical discovery and API design to production deployment and monitoring. Code Quality & Mentorship: Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews to maintain high standards across the engineering team. Performance Optimization: Optimize database queries, reduce latency, and ensure systems scale smoothly as user volume grows. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside front-end engineers and product stakeholders to deliver end-to-end features efficiently.
What We Are Looking For: Experience: Proven experience as a Backend Developer or Software Engineer building scalable server-side systems. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in backend technologies (such as Python, Node.js, Java, C#, or Go) alongside deep knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and API design. Cloud & DevOps: Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD development pipelines. Communication Skills: English proficiency for daily technical discussions, architecture reviews, and clear documentation. Mindset: You are pragmatic. You know when to architect for high scale and when to deliver a reliable MVP quickly.
Pay: £45,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
