Looking for a role that combines great coffee with the great outdoors?
Cadence is a fast-growing group of café and activity hubs located along some of the South’s most popular cycling routes, including the South Downs Way. We serve cyclists, runners, hikers and the local community, offering quality coffee, simple fresh food and a welcoming space to connect.
We are looking for an experienced Barista to join our team for around two shifts per week, varying at the needs of the business. Weekend and Bank Holiday availability is essential.
The Role
- Preparing high-quality coffee to a consistent standard
- Welcoming and serving customers with excellent customer service
- Dialling in grinders and maintaining coffee equipment
- Monitoring stock levels and supporting colleagues and the Clubhouse Manager
- Preparing hot food (all staff are cross-trained; our menu is very simple)
- Keeping the café clean, organised and running smoothly
About You
- Minimum one year’s barista experience
- Confident, friendly and reliable
- Strong organisational and timekeeping skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working on occasional solo shifts
- Willing to work most weekends and bank holidays
- Willing to occasionally work at our other East Sussex sites
- Own transport essential (rural locations)
You may occasionally be required to work at our other East Sussex sites (additional fuel costs covered).
