The Floyd Unit is an 18 bedded ward for patients who have been admitted following a neurological episode. Staff work closely with the wider multi-disciplinary team, including a Ward Consultant, , therapy teams and specialist nurses to ensure patients achieve their full rehab potential, with the aim of safe discharge home independently or with support or into residential/nursing care.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Health Care Support Worker to join the team. You will be supported within the role with on-going training. You will work alongside Nursing staff, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists.
You will record patient information and provide clinical support as required to help ensure the efficient and effective running of the unit, providing 1:1 supervision of patients where necessary, assisting with all activities of daily living, clinical observations, taking blood sugars, completing documentation plus many more.
You will provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.

Establish and maintain communication with patients, relatives and carers and the multidisciplinary team to be able to provide holistic patient care.

- Assist in maintaining and developing services.
- Ensure own actions help to maintain quality.

- Assist in the use of technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment.
- Ability to work flexibly and unsociable hours to meet the demands of the service.
