Duties
- Deliver high-quality personal care to residents, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Supervise and support junior care staff, providing guidance and mentorship to promote best practices in care delivery
- Implement and review individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs and preferences
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure clarity and understanding of care requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation using IT systems for care records, progress notes, and incident reports
- Assist with driving responsibilities for residents’ outings or appointments when required
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and infection control procedures
Experience
- Proven experience working in a care home environment with a focus on senior care
- Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare or social care setting
- Knowledge of developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with IT systems used for record keeping and documentation in healthcare settings
- Valid driving license preferred for supporting resident outings or transportation needs
