Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support and care to children and young people within a residential setting. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in child welfare, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience with children or in childcare is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care plans tailored to each child's needs, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development are prioritised.
- Support children with daily routines, including personal care, meal preparation, and recreational activities.
- Foster positive relationships through effective communication, active listening, and empathetic engagement.
- Assist with behaviour management strategies in line with organisational policies and care plans.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and progress reports for each young person.
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure consistent support for children.
- Drive company vehicles when required to facilitate outings or appointments, adhering to road safety regulations.
Skills
- Experience working with children or in childcare environments is highly desirable.
- Valid driving licence and experience driving organisational vehicles are preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
- Ability to implement and follow detailed care plans with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Good IT skills for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- Organised, reliable, and able to work flexibly across shifts as needed.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable young people’s development and wellbeing.

Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour
