Into Play Ltd is a family-run nursery group committed to creating warm, nurturing, and inspiring early years environments where children thrive. We are now looking for an experienced, passionate and motivated Preschool/ Curriculum Lead to join our team at Into Play: The Quays.
✨ About the Role
As Preschool/ Curriculum Lead, you will play a key role in shaping the learning environment and supporting outstanding outcomes for our children. You will lead our preschool team with vision, positivity and a strong understanding of high-quality early years practice.
This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a solid understanding of early childhood education principles to ensure that all children receive the highest quality of care and education.
This is a full-time, permanent role, and consists of 41 ¼ hours per week on a Rota basis (between the hours of 7.30 a.m. – 6.00 pm for 52 weeks of the year (nursery closes for 1 week at Christmas & all bank holidays)
Preschool/ Curriculum Lead responsibilities will include:
- Leading the preschool room and acting as a positive role model for staff and children
- Overseeing curriculum planning, intent and implementation across the preschool
- Ensuring practice is aligned with the EYFS and supports children’s individual needs
- Coaching and mentoring staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning
- Monitoring children’s progress and supporting assessment practices
- Working closely with management to drive continuous improvement
- Building strong partnerships with parents and carers
- Maintaining excellent safeguarding, behaviour and wellbeing standards at all times
✨ About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Level 3 qualified (Level 5 or above highly desirable)
- Proven experience in a childcare setting or nursery environment is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Confident in curriculum design, planning and high-quality practice
- Passionate about child development and creating enriching learning experiences
- Positive, proactive and able to inspire those around you
- Strong in communication, organisation and reflective practice
- Knowledgeable about EYFS, Ofsted expectations and safeguarding
