About the Role
This is a people-focused role for someone who enjoys juggling tasks, solving problems, and building strong customer relationships. As a Hire Controller, you’ll be the friendly first point of contact for our customers, helping them source the right equipment and ensuring everything runs smoothly from enquiry to off-hire.
From managing bookings and contracts to coordinating with drivers and depot teams, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our operations running like clockwork — and our customers coming back for more.
What You’ll Be Doing

Managing hire enquiries via phone, email, and our internal systems

Acting as a trusted, approachable point of contact for customers

Preparing and maintaining accurate hire contracts and documentation

Building strong relationships and really understanding customer requirements

Keeping customers updated and resolving issues quickly and professionally

Working closely with drivers, depot, sales, and operations teams

Developing strong product knowledge to recommend the right solution every time

Supporting the sales team and their customers when required
What We’re Looking For

At least 2 years’ experience in a hire desk or customer service environment

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven role
-
A confident communicator, both on the phone and in writing

Highly organised with great attention to detail

A genuine team player who enjoys collaborating across departments

Self-motivated, flexible, and happy to roll up their sleeves

Strong IT skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
