Summary
Due to some members of our team taking retirement or moving on to new roles within the factory, we are seeking a Hygiene Operative for our Deep Clean Team to join us based on our clients site, Cereal Partners, in Staverton, Trowbridge. You will be performing high & low level, and complex cleaning tasks within an industrial food manufacturing factory.
The successful individual will work as part of a team, and be comfortable working at height & within confined spaces. This role is vital in maintaining the cleanliness and safety standards required by our clients in the food industry, supporting our mission to deliver top-tier cleaning services.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning tasks to ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Use of Chemicals & Operate equipment efficiently and responsibly.
- Support team members in completing daily cleaning operations.
- Report any issues or safety concerns promptly.
- Adhere to the work schedule & maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of cleaning procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience of work in the cleaning industry, preferably food hygiene.
- Comfortable working at Height & within Confined Spaces.
- IPAF 3a & 3b licence – desirable but willing to train
- Forklift Licence – desirable but willing to train
- Confined Space Entry certificate – desirable but willing to train
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Good communication skills, with good verbal & written English.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully.
Please note the factory environment is noisy, dusty & warm.
Hours of work:
42hr /wk
0700 - 1530 Mon – Thurs & 0700 -1500 Fri
Flexibility may be required due to line shut down, and overtime to meet the needs of the contract.
Pay Rates:
£13.57 per hour if requires full training
£14.76 per hour if fully trained with above licences & certificates
Allergen Advice: The factory uses wheat and nut products, including peanuts.
Strong magnets are used on site, so anyone with a pacemaker would be unsuitable.
