We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Forest School Leader to join our team. This paid position offers the opportunity to lead outdoor learning sessions that inspire children’s curiosity, independence, and connection with nature. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children, strong leadership skills, and a passion for outdoor education.
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging forest school activities that promote outdoor exploration, environmental awareness, and child-led learning
- Supervise children during outdoor sessions, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging confidence, independence, and teamwork
- Collaborate with staff and families to support each child's individual needs and development goals
- Maintain a safe outdoor environment by conducting regular risk assessments and safety checks
- Lead the development of outdoor learning plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Promote environmental stewardship and respect for nature among children
Requirements
- Proven management and leadership skills in an educational or childcare setting
- Strong communication skills
- Childcare or nursery experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of outdoor education principles and safety procedures in natural settings
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and maintain high energy levels throughout the day

Pay: £13.50-£14.20 per hour
