Peacock Nursing Home is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Care Assistants to join our dedicated team in Livingston.
For over 30 years, Peacock Medicare has provided high-quality nursing and residential care for individuals living with a range of life-limiting conditions, including stroke, dementia, diabetes, and other complex health needs. About the Role
As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting residents to maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life. Working as part of a caring and professional team, you will assist residents with their daily living activities while encouraging social engagement and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality personal care and support to residents.
- Assisting with daily living activities while promoting independence and choice.
- Supporting residents with their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Encouraging participation in activities and social interaction.
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns to senior staff.
- Ensuring residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion at all times.

Training and Development
At Peacock Nursing Home, we are committed to supporting the professional development of our staff. We encourage all Care Assistants to achieve an SVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health and Social Care, and we provide the training, guidance, and support needed to achieve these qualifications.

Successful applicants will be required to provide a Protection of Vulnerable Adults Certificate and references from a present/past employer. PVG certificate expense will be met by applicant and also to apply for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council.
