Female Brain Injury Support Worker
Location: Crewe, Cheshire
Pay Rate: £15.45 - £17.51 per hour
Shifts Available: Days (8:00am-8:00pm) and Nights (8:00pm-8:00am)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Complex Care Assistant to support a young woman with complex healthcare needs in her own home in Crewe.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced care professionals looking to develop their clinical skills while making a meaningful impact on someone's everyday life.
About the Client
You'll be supporting a young woman in her 20s who is living with the effects of an acquired brain injury. Her care needs include support with communication, mobility, epilepsy management, tracheostomy care, and emotional wellbeing.
She lives in her own home with a dedicated 24-hour support team and enjoys listening to music, watching films and TV shows (especially horror movies), and engaging in sensory activities. She has a great sense of humour and benefits from support workers who can build positive, trusting relationships while encouraging her independence and quality of life.
As a Complex Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care, supporting both the clinical and daily living needs of the client.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering 1:1 complex care support in the client's home
- Tracheostomy care and airway management
- Supporting with epilepsy management and monitoring
- Assisting with personal care, hygiene, and mobility
- Administering medication in line with care plans
- Supporting daily routines and community access where appropriate
- Providing emotional support and companionship
- Monitoring and reporting changes in health or wellbeing
- Maintaining accurate care records and documentation
- Working closely with family members and healthcare professionals
✅ Essential Experience & Skills
We are looking for candidates with:
- Previous experience as a Complex Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant (HCA), Support Worker, or Care Assistant
- Experience supporting individuals with:
- Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
- Epilepsy
- Tracheostomy care
- Complex neurological conditions
- Challenging behaviours
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A reliable and flexible attitude
- A full UK driving licence and confidence driving the client's vehicle
