Witcher Associates is working with a fast-growing independent insurance business in Leeds that is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Motor Claims Handler to its expanding claims team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid background in motor claims who wants to move beyond a high-volume FNOL environment and take greater ownership of claims, build relationships with commercial clients and develop their career within a growing business.

The role
You'll join an established claims team handling motor claims on behalf of commercial clients, including fleet and other wheels-based businesses.
You'll manage claims through their lifecycle, liaising with clients and relevant third parties to ensure claims are progressed effectively and clients receive a high level of service throughout.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing motor claims from notification through to settlement
- Liaising directly with commercial clients regarding ongoing claims
- Keeping clients updated and managing expectations throughout the process
- Liaising with insurers, third parties, solicitors and other relevant parties
- Reviewing claim circumstances and associated documentation
- Progressing outstanding actions and ensuring claims continue to move forward
- Maintaining accurate records and claims documentation
- Identifying potential issues and escalating where appropriate
- Building strong relationships with clients and the wider insurance team
What we're looking for
We're particularly interested in speaking with candidates who already have good experience within Motor Claims and are comfortable taking ownership of claims rather than working solely within an FNOL environment.

Previous experience working for an insurance broker isn't essential.
You could currently be working for an insurer, broker, accident management company or within another motor claims environment. Experience dealing with commercial motor or fleet claims would be particularly attractive.
