We’re looking for a Completions Officer to join a growing lending operations team, supporting property finance transactions from credit approval through to drawdown.
This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 12 months’ experience in property lending, completions, case management or junior underwriting who wants to develop their knowledge and progress within a supportive, fast-paced lender.
The role
You’ll manage the progression of property lending transactions once credit approved, working closely with Lending Managers, Underwriters, solicitors, valuers and other third parties to ensure each loan reaches completion efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Progressing deals from credit approval through to drawdown
- Liaising with solicitors, valuers, brokers and internal lending teams
- Completing credit searches, loan data input and system updates
- Supporting KYC, AML and customer onboarding requirements
- Monitoring outstanding conditions and identifying potential delays
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting pipeline reporting
- Managing competing completion deadlines while providing a high level of service
- Contributing to process improvements, system testing and wider projects
- Escalating issues appropriately and working collaboratively with the wider team
What we’re looking for
- At least 12 months’ experience within regulated property lending
- Experience in completions, case management, lending operations or junior underwriting
- An understanding of how a property loan progresses from credit approval to drawdown
- Bridging finance experience would be particularly beneficial
- Some knowledge of KYC, AML and customer onboarding processes
- Confidence communicating with solicitors, valuers and other third parties
- Strong organisation and the ability to manage changing priorities
- A calm, practical approach when several transactions need to complete at the same time
- A team-focused attitude and the confidence to ask for support when needed
- Experience using nCino or a comparable lending system would be helpful but isn’t essential
You don’t need to be an experienced credit decision-maker. We’re more interested in someone who understands the completion journey, knows the common issues that can arise during property transactions and is motivated to develop.
Benefits
- Generous annual leave plus bank holidays
- Tailored learning, development and career support
- Hybrid working following probation
- Private medical, including optical and dental cover
- Enhanced pension scheme
- Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay
- Discretionary company bonus
This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your property lending experience, take greater ownership of transactions and build a long-term career within a growing business.
