Data Operations Analyst, Braintree, within the range of £28k to £30k per annum plus annual bonus and benefits

The Role
This role is based in our Braintree office, with flexible hybrid working 3 days a week in the office, and 2 days a week working from home. We are looking for a motivated, highly numerate individual to join our Data Operations team. This is a trainee role, with on the job learning and development opportunities to progress within the business. You will support the maintenance of databases that enable accurate tracking and monitoring of our assets. This role will include:
- Extracting, analysing, and reporting on large datasets using SQL and Power BI.
- Running reports, checking for anomalies, and explaining issues/trends.
- Responding to requests for data and providing actionable insights that drive strategic decision making.
- Responding to ad-hoc requests and providing accurate information to both internal and external customers.
- Continuously looking for improvements and efficiencies within existing data pipelines.
- Ensuring that data integrity is effectively managed and that the data we hold is secure.
The Person
We are looking for a motivated individual with a degree or equivalent in Economics, Maths, statistics, or a related discipline. In addition, you will have:
- Good IT skills including proficiency with Excel.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to spot trends/errors and highlight/rectify.
- Interpersonal and communication skills to work with internal stakeholders, facilitating efficient data exchanges/validation and answering queries in a timely manner to ensure expectations are met.
- Good organisational skills to enable you to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines.
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
- A willingness to share knowledge, skills, and experience with others.
- Good attention to detail and a curious mind with the initiative to question, explore and innovate.
- A desire to learn and develop in the role.
