We are looking for a full-time Assistant Baker to work closely alongside our Head Baker, who brings 30 years of experience across the UK and European artisan bakery industry.
This role is designed to support our Head Baker in the day-to-day running of the bakery. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, develop professionally, and contribute to a high-standard production environment by following clear direction and established processes.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Head Baker with daily production of bread and viennoiserie
- Following recipes, production schedules, and processes to ensure consistency and quality
- Maintaining product standards when covering the Head Baker’s days off or holidays
- Assisting with bakery management tasks as required
- Supporting the training and supervision of less experienced staff
- Ensuring equipment is maintained and used correctly
- Upholding cleanliness, food hygiene, and health & safety standards at all times
- Maintaining accurate food safety and hygiene records
Skills
- Experience in bread and viennoiserie production
- A strong understanding of food hygiene and safety requirements
- Organised, reliable, and able to manage your workload effectively

Hours: Approx 40 per week
