Job Overview:
We are a leading RTD cocktail manufacturer looking for a dedicated Skilled Hygiene Operative to become part of our busy team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in cleaning and deep cleaning of machinery, as well as comprehensive site and facility cleaning.
This role is physically demanding and involves tasks such as washing barrels, equipment, hoses, along with cleaning offices, kitchens and outdoor areas.
You will ensure food safety, hygiene, and quality standards are maintained in the manufacturing facility by executing cleaning, sanitation, and safety procedures. You will support the Senior Hygiene Coordinator and collaborate with production staff to uphold a safe, clean environment.
This role involves following cleaning schedules and ensuring all paperwork is correctly completed, therefore attention to detail is a must.
There is a shift pattern of 6am-2pm, 10am - 6pm and 11am - 6pm
When CIP training is complete the hours will include 8am - 4pm
Duties
- Follow food safety, quality, and safety policies and procedures.
- Perform routine and deep cleaning of equipment, machinery, production areas, and facilities.
- Complete CIP (cleaning in progress) procedures of all tanks. Training will be given.
- Monitor, record, and report cleaning activities and maintenance issues.
- Assist with waste management and equipment maintenance.
- Support health and safety compliance, including PPE use and safety training.
- Complete documentation accurately and manage PPE and chemical supplies.
- Collaborate with production teams to coordinate cleaning schedules.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in hygiene/cleaning roles, preferably in food or beverage manufacturing.
- Experience in deep cleaning machines and parts.
- Excellent command of verbal and written English.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and COSHH regulations.
- Understanding of food safety standards (HACCP, BRC).
- Attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork skills.
- Good time management and physical stamina for manual tasks.
