Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Part-time Self-Employed Person and Handyman to undertake a variety of maintenance, gardening, and landscape tasks. This role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work independently on diverse projects, ensuring properties are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing. The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set in gardening, and general handyman duties, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach.
Responsibilities
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and irrigation equipment to carry out maintenance tasks efficiently and safely.
- Perform garden care including planting, pruning, weeding, lawn mowing, and general landscaping to enhance outdoor spaces.
- Conduct repairs around properties such as fixing fences, gates, or minor structural issues using appropriate tools.
- Assist with landscape maintenance activities, including soil preparation, planting new shrubs, and installing garden features.
- Maintain organised work areas and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
- Provide advice on gardening practices and plant care to property owner.
- Complete projects within agreed timeframes while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience in gardening, or landscape maintenance is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, is essential.
- Growing experience or knowledge of plant care and garden design is advantageous but not essential.
- Previous handyman work involving general repairs or property upkeep will be considered a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high quality standards.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills related to gardening and property maintenance is preferred.
