Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Driver/Workshop Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and equipment to various locations while providing essential support within our workshop. Your proactive attitude and excellent communication skills will ensure smooth operations, timely deliveries, and efficient workshop assistance. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles for the delivery of parts, equipment, and supplies to designated locations
- Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy lifting as needed, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with team members regarding schedules and delivery updates
- Support workshop activities by organizing tools, supplies, and equipment, and preparing items for maintenance or dispatch
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any issues promptly
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times
- Collaborate with team members to optimize delivery routes and improve overall workflow efficiency
Experience
- Proven delivery driver experience with a strong focus on commercial driving and safe vehicle operation
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver license preferred or required in some regions
- Experience working in a warehouse environment or handling heavy lifting tasks
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance checks and safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills for clear interactions with team members, clients, and suppliers
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy items repeatedly throughout the day
