An exciting opportunity has arisen for two dynamic and highly motivated people with a vision and passion for working with homeless people to join us in St Helens.
We are looking to appoint a Support Workers to work within Salisbury House, St Helens. This is a 64 bed Lifehouse. We accommodate both males and females aged 18+.Our Support Workers are responsible for delivering a high-quality programme of support which promotes client choice and control.
Key responsibilities:
The Support Worker will address clients support needs on an individual basis, enable them to make positive life choices and ultimately empower them to lead more sustainable lifestyles.
They will also complete day to day activities including administration tasks and reception duties to support the successful operation of the Lifehouse.
The successful candidate will:

Have excellent customer service skills

Can prioritise their own workload via good time management

Be IT Literate

Have good written and verbal communication skills

Have a knowledge of the main support needs which are commonly faced by homeless and vulnerable clients

Be able to work within the Christian Ethos of The Salvation Army
