Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Caretaker to join our team.
You will be working alongside the Care Home Manager to ensure the Care Home provides a high level of health and safety for residents and visitors, as well as a comfortable working and living environment for all stakeholders.
The Caretaker will play a crucial, lead role in ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
- Maintain and oversee the functionality of equipment, ensuring all systems are operational.
- Carry out repairs to ensure that the Care Home remains operational and maintains aesthetic requirements.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on systems and equipment.
- Maintain and oversight the decoration of the home, completing where required.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and stakeholders, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Read and interpret schematics and detailed documents to assist in troubleshooting and repairs.
- Carry out maintenance checks and report any significant issues to management.
- Documentation compliance, ensuring this is kept up to date.
- Supporting and being available for external contractors.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a caretaker or similar role, with a strong understanding of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and detailed documentation.
- Strong customer service skills, with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong logical reasoning abilities.
- Willingness to perform physical tasks as required by the role.
