Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technician to join our team, working on a range of industrial and commercial projects. Please note this is a senior-level role requiring proven industry experience.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 5–7 years post-qualification experience in an architectural technician role, ideally within industrial and/or commercial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning processes, and construction detailing.
- Proven ability to manage projects from concept through to completion with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Comfortable working independently and taking a lead role in technical design, coordination, and site stages.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed technical drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD software.
- Collaborate with consultants and design teams to develop design concepts into workable solutions.
- Ensure all designs comply with Building Regulations, planning requirements, and relevant standards.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants and clients to resolve technical issues during the construction phase.
- Conduct site visits to review construction progress and resolve any on-site technical issues.
- Undertake site meetings and act as contact administrator.
- Prepare accurate schedules, reports, and specifications as required.
Key Skills and Attributes
- Proven experience as an Architectural Technician, with a strong portfolio showcasing your technical expertise.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
- In-depth knowledge of Building Regulations, construction methods and materials.
- Ability to produce high-quality technical drawings and construction details.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications and Experience
- A relevant qualification in Architectural Technology (e.g. HNC / HND, degree or equivalent)
- Chartered Membership with CIAT (or working towards chartership) is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in an architectural or construction-related role.
- Experience in leading projects from technical design through to completion on site is essential.

Pay: £40,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
